Occupy Oakland, who's REALLY responsible for the violence?

Randi Rhodes interviews Alternet's Joshua Holland as they take issue with who's to blame for the escalation of violence at Occupy Oakland with over the top police tactics. Robocops clad in riot gear lobbing tear gas canister's into the heads of protestors doesn't happen by accident, someone ordered these officers to take a hyper-aggressive approach - versus having unarmed cops on 10 speed bikes in shorts to handle peaceful protestors. Unlike TeaParty protestors who were making threats while strapped in rifles.

While some police departments have no problems with the Occupy protesters, others - like Oakland, Denver, Atlanta, and New York - have already attacked Occupiers. Long before any of the violence on the streets started at any of the Occupy rallies and marches, a serious of meetings and decisions were made in Mayor's and Governor's offices across the country - and many of these chief executives weren't looking to avoid conflict.

Journalist Joshua Holland, of Alternet, was at Occupy Oakland during one of the recent unfounded attacks by the police He detailed what he saw, what he didn't see, and what - if anything - the government, the police, and the protesters can do to make sure that no one crosses the wrong line...

Bo to the link below for a great interview on a subject that's not getting nearly enough coverage...
